About me and my practice
I am a qualified counsellor with the experience of nearly 8 years in the counselling profession. I have dealt with varied mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, grief, domestic violence, sexual abuse, OCD and PTSD. I have helped people of different ethnic backgrounds, which has helped me to enhance my knowledge of diversity. I can speak English, Urdu and Punjabi fluently and have been providing therapy in these languages for many years.
Experience
I have worked with multiple professional counselling settings such as Doncaster Women's Aid, Roshni Sheffield, and Open Minds Doncaster and I run my private practice. I have provided counselling to people of varied, age, gender and ethnic origins. I have been working with victims and survivors of domestic violence and have deep insight into how it affects families.
I have been working with students to provide counselling services and help them deal with issues such as study-related stress, self-image, self-esteem, peer pressure, and relationship issues.
